Thank you to those who have already responded and booked their places at the dinner on 28th February, which this year will feature not only the presentation of awards, some expected and some with an element of surprise, but also a short talk by Chris Juden, who no doubt has a fund of interesting stories from his 30 years working with CTC.

The weather forecast indicates that it will remain very cold overnight and into tomorrow, with rain during the morning highly likely.  Rico will be unable to ride, sensibly taking another week to recuperate – and hoping for warmer weather next Wednesday!  If there is ice likely tomorrow (and the forecast rain makes that more of a possibility) then I, too, would think that it is more sensible not to ride, and will therefore not be leading.  I will decide tomorrow, and will post any notice of cancellation on this site by 8.30 latest, so please keep a look out.  Alternatively, you may wish to phone me (01276-68113101276-681131)

A reminder that the annual dinner will be held at The Mill at Elstead on Saturday 28th February.  Chris Juden, Technical Officer of of CTC for over 30 years, and our own President, has kindly agreed to talk at the dinner.

Pre booking is essential by 14 February latest, please see the attached for details of menu and booking arrangements.

I have now received the delivery of the new cycle tops, and very smart they look too.  In order that I may deliver them to as many riders as possible, I intend to bring them to the New Year meet at Seale, and hope that those of you who ordered the tops can be there as well, and be able to transport them home with you.

If you cannot attend on New Year’s Day, please be in contact so that we may arrange a suitable alternative.

A reminder that the prices are £31.20 for short sleeved, £34 long sleeved, and £42 long sleeved winter weight.  I would prefer that payment is made electronically direct to the West Surrey bank account, and if you e-mail me I will let you know the bank account details.  Alternatively, you can pay by cheque on the day, cheques made payable to West Surrey CTC.
