The Farnham Cycle Challenge

From Sophie Colwell, Events Manager of Disability
Dear friends,
I am contacting you from local Children’s Charity Challengers (providers of play and leisure to disabled children and young people in Surrey & Hampshire).  On Sunday May 11th we are holding a brand new event that I wondered if you and your club could be interested in – “The Farnham Cycle Challenge”.
Starting and finishing at Farnham Park this is a fantastic event for everyone of any ability. There is the choice of a 45 or 23 miles cycle along the quiet and stunning country lanes of Hampshire and a fun ride through the park for those not quite ready for the roads. All proceeds from this event go directly to Challengers.
For more information please feel free to contact me or go to the event website
We would love to have as many local people supporting us at this event as possible, for more information on Challengers please visit our website –
I hope to see you there
Best wishes

Wednesday Ride ~ 8 January 2014

Lots of riders out, amazingly mild weather – and the rain stopped for the day. Louise wished everyone a Happy New Year with kisses on both cheeks – how many in total, Louise? – and some great cycling, particularly the group I rode with: can’t speak for the others. The route went something like this (from my house):

Or check it out in more detail here:

Being a darkish sort of a day, though the sun did show its face a little, some of the photos taken on the day could be a little sharper.
