Security advice from Surrey Police
There has been a huge increase in burglaries from sheds, garages and other outbuildings in which high value cycles are the main target.
This is mainly occurring between Haslemere and Farnham with the highest target area being Hindhead.
All cycle owners re strongly advised to register their bikes with either www.immobilise.com or www.bikeregister.com. Both of these registers are free to use. Owners should make a note of the bike’s serial number and take photos so if the worst happens and it is stolen, the police will be able to identify it.

Strava users should set their privacy settings so that rides are not mapped directly from your household or where the bike is stored. (Go to My Profile>Privacy Controls and then Hide the start and end points of activities. )
