I can’t be the only person to have seem the appallingly disingenuous farewell to Chris Juden, in the letters page of the latest mag. The wider readership have been deliberately deceived as to what is really going on. This is an example of the worst standards of corporate behaviour that one would have expected from an American multinational. What sort of Club is this ?
I think that Chris Jeggo is right, and that we should register a strong protest. And then go and form our own Cycletouring Club. As a name I would suggest the “Cyclists Touring Club”, as this is no longer a name that the Management are interested in. For anyone who thinks that the CTC has done cycling a favour over the last few years, I would suggest that the Times has done 10 times as much. And Bradley Wiggins 100 times.
