Following the very sad news of Paul’s death, please note that his funeral will take place at midday on Thursday 24 March at St Nicholas’ Church in Chaldon Herring, Dorset, with the wake a short cycle ride away at Winfrith Village Hall, from 1.30pm. A number of club members are planning to attend, and if there are any more who would like to join them please contact me and I can pass on the RSVP details.

I will be travelling down with Bob Mc. My understanding is that the funeral servuce will be traditional, which means suit and black tie for men, but that arrival at the wake on bikes in club cycling colours would be very much appreciated. That is what we intend to do, hope that we will be able to change. I suggest that if anyone wishes to know more, they contact me directly. My own daughter is in very close contact with Anna, Paul’s daughter, who is one of her very closest friends.
A very genuine and lovely guy who will be missed by many, so sorry I can’t make his funeral
