The 100 mile and 75 mile rides, which this year are on Sunday 19th July, have for the past few years started and finished at Goal Farm Golf Club. This has now closed, so I’m looking for a new start and finish location.
I don’t want to make a major change to the route for this year, so I’d like to find somewhere fairly close. One obvious possibility is to return to Pirbright Village Hall and I’m also looking at Worplesdon Village Hall, which is closer to me and for which I would, as a Worplesdon resident, get a concessionary rate for room hire.
I would welcome comments on this move, any other suggestions for the start and finish location and also a volunteer or two to provide tea and coffee at the start and finish.

You are very good in repeating these events this year after the poor support you had from us last year, I do hope it’s better this year. It is such a nice route with a perfect lunch stop.
I have entered Audaxes where the start was the organisers garden. eg the London Sightseer and Mark’s icycle. However Worplesdon I should think would be OK if we can justify the cost of hiring a hall.
PLEASE tell me that the Bert Bartholemew trophy has been moved to another event.
I have not done this ride before so do not know the route, but either hall seems ok with a preference on Worplesdon.
