If you should cycle along Taplin’s Farm Lane, which runs from Winchfield Hurst to Hartley Wintney/Phoenix Green, keep your eyes peeled for drawing pins scattered on the road. There have been several instances of this malicious anti-cyclist vandalism. For further details see Fleet Cycling’s website.
By chance I was there today with Fleetcycling, they call it tin tack alley!
Just beyond Phoenix Green we did find black ice though but only two of seven came off. They were gratefull for their helmets as both hit the road but only suffered shock so were able to return home un aided.
I’ve heard the same drawing pin vandalism occurs on Box Hill!
