Received from Cycling UK Headquarters today. This might be of interest to various members for reasons including cycling but also in other voluntary fields which you might be involved with.

Debra Allcock-Tyler from the Directory of Social Change will be delivering what is sure to be a thought provoking keynote speech addressing the role of Charity in a time of continued austerity, Joanne Killian, the new Chief Executive of Surrey County Council will be speaking about her vision of how Surrey should work with the Voluntary Sector, we will hear from frontline charities on how their clients are affected by the cuts to public services and look at whether charities can and should be stepping into the role of the Welfare State.

We have expert led workshops to address many of the key areas of running voluntary organisations, plus for the first time we are introducing an ‘unconference’ session for you to discuss the issues that matter most to you.

This year’s conference is taking place in the prestigious Rik Medlik Building at the University of Surrey and will include a sandwich lunch in their Lakeside Restaurant.
