… what this is?  Photographed at an altitude of about 1300m overlooking the Grand Canyon du Verdon, Provence, France in mid-September.

    The adult moth only lives for a day!

  4. We saw lots of these on the mountain stretches of the CTC tour in Albania this year. I took a similar photo. Some trees were affected, some were not. There was a rumour that it was a type of spiders’ web.
